Nevada Company Warns Against Shortcuts To Debt Free Living

Incline Village, NV Sat, May 21, 2011 - In recent video lessons released in an effort to educate consumers, Nevada company Zodiac Publishing Corporation is warning consumers against taking shortcuts to debt free living. In particular, the company warns against using debt settlement companies and similar methods that often leave the consumer in worse shape than when they started. Shortcuts almost always hurt more than help, according to company owner Jay Peters.
"People want to get out of debt so bad, I think they let down their guard some and don't think about how the numbers will work out," says Jay Peters, founder of Zodiac Publishing Corporation. "Many people who carelessly jump into debt settlement services end up much worse off." says Peters.
According to Peters, often people's money, time, and resources would be better spent researching other methods to get out of debt and pay off debt faster, rather than looking for shortcuts and getting burned as so many consumers unfortunately do.
The company takes the issue so seriously, they have added new materials to their popular Debt Free Bible system to warn consumers about the risks involved with debt settlement companies and other such shortcuts. "That's the real draw of the shortcuts," says Peters. "People fall for promises of settling their debts for $0.40 on the dollar, and not having to worry about the details themselves."
Peters states that this is a costly mistake, and maintains that if a consumer insists on doing something like debt settlement, they should consider doing it themselves rather than using the services of a debt settlement company. "Saving yourself a little effort by using a debt settlement company could cost you a fortune in the end," says Peters.
